STARTING A HIGH SCHOOL DIVING PROGRAM
or FINDING NEW WAYS TO KEEP A PROGRAM GOING
Now is the best time to push for High School Diving and make the effort to keep it alive in your League or District.
REASONS: this should be enough...just to help the students
get into college.
Sports scholarships and opportunities are available for divers.
Even if your diver(s) are not CIF champions, there are many colleges at all
levels who are looking for both men and women divers to fill their diving team.
Even though some high schools have elected NOT to include diving points in overall
swimming competitions, many colleges and universities at all levels DO support
these sports and are looking for divers to help them earn points on their Swimming
and Diving Teams. Scholarships are available (especially for girls) and at the
very least, the opportunity to confirm admission to the school of your choice
and participate on the team.
